Iftar for the Fasting Project
This project aims to provide daily Iftar meals for fasting individuals within the State of Kuwait during the blessed month of Ramadan. It primarily targets low-income families and workers in need, contributing to alleviating their financial burdens and promoting social solidarity. Providing Iftar meals for fasting individuals is one of the noblest acts of charity and piety, embodying the spirit of giving and mercy that should prevail among the community during this holy month. Iftar for fasting people is one of the most significant forms of cooperation among Muslims, offering immense benefits to both the giver and the recipient. It fosters the values of cooperation and sharing. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran: “And they give food, despite their love for it, to the poor, the orphan, and the captive.” (Al-Insan: 8) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) highlighted the great reward of offering Iftar to others, saying: "Whoever provides Iftar for a fasting person will have a reward like theirs, without any decrease in the fasting person's reward." (Tirmidhi) This emphasizes the great virtue and reward that comes with this act of kindness. This project is not only about providing food; it is a message of love, solidarity, and compassion among members of the community. It helps ease the hardships of low-income families, allowing them to enjoy the blessed month of Ramadan without worrying about their basic needs. During this holy month, the values of mercy, empathy, and solidarity among Muslims are deeply reflected, strengthening the unity of the community. As Allah says in the Quran: “Indeed, Allah commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin; He forbids all shameful deeds, injustice, and rebellion.” (An-Nahl: 90) Through the Iftar for the Fasting Project, we contribute not only to the well-being of those in need but also to the unity of the nation and the spirit of mutual support among individuals. Furthermore, it is an act of charity that brings multiplied rewards in Ramadan, one of the most beloved deeds to Allah during this blessed month.
